Volunteer Information and Requirements
The North Winnipeg Nomads is one of Canada’s largest youth Football Programs and we continue to grow each year with increases in key core age groups. New divisions of girls & women’s have been added most recently. As the Nomads continue to grow, we rely heavily on our parents and caregivers to help via volunteer hours and commitment to each team and the Nomads Football Club overall.
Each Team will have a Team Manager who volunteers their time to help the team benefit and succeed through the parents, caregivers, siblings, grandparents and family members filling in key roles during the season.
The Nomads simply can’t operate without Volunteers, and a Head Coach can’t worry about who is doing this and who is doing that the day of the game, he/she is too busy worrying about the game and safety of your child.
A season schedule for Volunteers will be created by your Team Manager, and if you’re unable to attend, it is your responsibility to trade it with another parent or another adult in your family and notify your Team Manager.
The Nomads have one of the lowest registration fees within the Manitoba Minor Football Association (MMFA) and have kept fundraising or equipment deposits very low for Nomads families. We do this to keep costs down, yet expect as part of your commitment to bring your child to practices and games, that you volunteer as well, and we encourage you to get involved. From the Board level, to just helping out, this is your Community, your Football Club, your team – why not make it the best it can be!
